I just mixed up my first batch of hypertufa in my Christmas present concrete mixer- one from northern tool. I call it my little red-1.77cubic feet. it worked great. you put in one half the water, all the aggregate, then the cement and the remainder of the water until you have the right mix. If you are doing big projects you may want to increase the size of mixer but this is the right size for me. just do a test batch first so you can get an idea of what the mixer can really hold as well as how much you can work with.

I just wanted to mention that there are several sizes of mixers you can get.

I would recommend a smaller one so that you don't make more than you can work with before it hardens.
